There was someone selling one of these in my country Belize 🇧🇿 for about u.s. $400. This video convinced me to to make the purchase.... Now.... I never leave home without it. And to be honest, it's a bit old tech, you know.... The small LCD, but... It has trained me to be cautious before shooting. I make all checks on all settings and ensure I check my exposure meter before taking the shot. Because the LCD is a bit small... I can't rely too much on it, however, this has somewhat forced me to appreciate shooting in manual, and pretty much, to get better knowledge on how the exposure triangle works. Lastly. The focus on this beast is super accurate. It's one of the most accurate focusing cameras I've used. Its almost never out of focus. Thanks!

I use it for work daily still in 2020 (taking pictures of vintage clothes), and with 40mm 2.8 pancake lens it's a good for street and general shooting as well, it's so good that often I have to force myself use to my contemporary gear.

I've just bought one of these, two days ago in fact. Cost me £200 and it's in lovely nick. I'm very impressed! As far as the batteries go I'm pretty sure they're nimh, not nicad, but I could be wrong...... Anyway, cheers for the video :)

Nice set of images. I managed to snag one of these yesterday. One owner from new (he paid £5300 plus vat when he bought it)! I already own a 6d but have always coveted a pro body. I paid just £200 and it's in great condition. I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces in the coming weeks, including a one week holiday in Lossiemouth, Morayshire. I've let my hobby slip this year and I'm hoping that this camera with be the kick up the backside that I need to get going again. Thanks for the video, subscribed :)

I use my 1dmk3 for stills and product photography (yet it was aimed at sports), great images with 10MP APS-H sensor, wont be selling it anytime soon. Also 40mm is a sweet little prime, it lives on my camera.

I've seen some image samples of this and were absolutely great. They were in the real side, if I explain myself well, in contrary to some more modern cameras which tend to give a lot of detail and sometimes even saturated. I think it's a very good camera for artistic photo.

I have this model from new and is in mint condition. Reason is that it cost too much and is too heavy to carry hill walking, which is what I do most of the time. Only a couple of thousand photos taken and I LOVE it.

It is a lovely camera and I used one for 5 years as my main camera. When it failed through electronic gremlins my backup 1D ii N became my main camera. I soon found that I like its 8.2 Mp images just as much as the 16.7 Mp images from the 1Ds ii. Then, for the greater part of a year I switched to the 6D, but after some comparisons I found that I preferred the greater ability of the1D ii N to nail the focus and exposure to the 6D's 20+ Mp. In any case, there is more to Image Quality than lots of pixels and the ability to shoot at high-ISO.

Like everything to do with existence, the only constant in the Universe is change and despite a decade of use, I replaced my 1DsMkIIs with a pair of 5DMkIIs. Whilst there wasn't the same kudos, there also wasn't the same weight, plus the addition of video made the package far more appealing, image quality also much better in low light. Great in its day certainly, but 1DsMkII shouldn't be a consideration in 2019 if looking for a full frame DSLR, there are far better cameras at the same price point.

I've got a 1DS mkII along with a MKI Classic and 1D MKIII, they are amazing Cameras. If you want images akin to 35mm the MKI DS is as close as you'll get , 10 Megapixels is more than enough to create pictures which can be blown up to a reasonable size. I've also steered away from IS, I appreciate all these improvements in photography but like the fact that Ive made a contribution in some way to the images I've taken. If nothing else they are great training tools :-)
